About US
We love wool! That statement is at the heart of Arborglyph Fiber Arts.
At Arborglyph, we want you to love wool too. When picking a mill and yarn/fiber bases it was important to us to support local farms wherever possible. We are excited that our Merino line is RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) certified. The Mill we are using sources from farms within the US.
The Merino line of yarn and spinning fibers are the heart of things here at Arborglyph. From time to time, we may also provide pin drafted roving and yarn from local farms and local mills. These products are always offered on a limited basis as the supply is limited to how many fleeces are produced and sent to the mill that season.
Every yarn and roving offered is of a quality we would want to personally work with.
About Sara McCourt
Owner, Dyer, Spinner, Knitter, Weaver

Sara, was always interested in making things with her hands. Her Great Grandmother taught her to crochet early, but it was not until high school when a friend at a re-enactment handed her a spindle and wool that she finally found her passion.
As an adult, Sara was an avid knitter. She found that the needles in her hands were the gateway tool to a deeper passion: fiber. Which led to her first purchase of a spinning wheel. Wondering about the sourcing and processing of her mail-order wools led her to complete her Master’s Spinning Certification program at Olds College in Alberta, Canada. She then began using her handspun yarns first in knitting and then in weaving. This of course led to the use of natural and synthetic dyes in her work.
Arborglyph is born out of a love of wool and working with all aspects of it.
